Yosemite Farm Credit is in touch with the pulse of community life and culture.

Yosemite Farm Credit has a strong commitment to education, events, programs and activities that tie Yosemite to areas rich in agricultural culture and heritage. These events, programs, and activities contribute to and work for the betterment of the farmers and ranchers and the rural life we all value so highly.

For students involved in agriculture, Yosemite Farm Credit contributes to scholarships each year. At Modesto Junior College, we annually give $1,000 for the Will Merriam Award to the Outstanding Freshman Student. At Merced College, we also annually give $1,000 for agricultural scholarships. In addition, Yosemite also donates a $500 annual scholarship to the Stanislaus County Division 2 FFA Project Award Competition and $250 for the Stanislaus County Division 1 FFA Project Award Competition.

Yosemite Farm Credit is heavily involved with the county fairs including the Los Banos May Day Fair, Tuolumne County Fair, Merced Fair, and the Stanislaus County Fair. Yosemite not only contributes financially to support 4H and FFA with their projects, but the employees are also present to support the young exhibitors with a barbecue and with a wine and cheese social for animal buyers.

Support is also given to the many marketing and industry associations both financially and through help donated by Yosemite Farm Credit employees. Yosemite has supported the Almond Board of California, the Holstein, Jersey, Brown Swiss and Guernsey Cattle Associations, Western United Dairymen, California Cattlemen, California Women for Agriculture, Ag in The Classroom, California Association of Winegrape Growers, Canning Peach Association, and the Tomato Growers Association, just to name a few.
