Yosemite Farm Credit recognizes that Young, Beginning, and Small ("YBS") farmers are a significant part of a strong agricultural industry and may have unique credit needs. We'd like to introduce you to our YBS Farmer Program. In addition to our loan and lease programs, we offer educational training, related industry support, and marketing outreach activities.

Definitions
You may qualify for the Association's YBS program if you meet any one of the following criteria:
- Young - 35 years or less of age.
- Beginning - 10 years or less of farming experience.
- Small - $250,000 or less in annual gross agricultural sales.

Special Credit Considerations
In order to address the unique credit needs of YBS farmers that have sound business plans & management ability, accommodations or credit enhancements may be considered such as:
- Initial interest only payments.
- FSA or SBA loan guarantee.
- Reduced interest rate for a transitional period of time.
- Coordinated lending with other lending agencies.
- YBS lending program with modified loan standards.

Education and Training
The association sponsors, supports, and participates in the following education and training activities:
- Middle school, high school, and junior college career days.
- Junior college classroom instruction.
- Junior college scholarships.
- 4-H and FFA chapter events.
- California Ag. Leadership and Blue Diamond Leadership Programs.
Marketing and Outreach
Yosemite Farm Credit offers or sponsors the following services that are helpful to YBS and potential YBS customers:
- Young agricultural exhibitors at local fairs and other industry sponsored events.
- Equipment leasing program.
- Crop, mortgage, and life insurance.
- Financial and business planning.
- Retirement and estate planning.
